Ron Jeremy can suck his own dick. No, really! This and many other fascinating truths were revealed during the documentary Ron Jeremy: Legend of a Porn Star. The film chronicles the life and good times of the porn industry's most famous star, nicknamed The Hedgehog. With a dong measuring 9 and 3/4 inches, Ron has plowed his way through over 1800 adult films, directing 100 more. Due to his flabby build and general unkemptness, he's become a sort of cult hero for the horny male in all of us, as reveled during several candid interviews. What is no doubt the highlight of his career is a four-hour sex marathon in which he screwed no less than 14 lovely ladies; this dude is a rock.

The film itself is funny and engaging, while still presenting Ron's life in an honest light. Special mention must be given to the editing, which was really quite good. One sequence in particular featured an ugly lunatic lady yelling how she wanted to eat out Ron in a three-way, or something. The film then cuts to footage from one of Ron's old movies in which he spits out his cocktail in disgust (with sexy results). Not just a laugh fest, the movie also provided a glimpse into the loneliness and alienation that have plagued Ron his entire career. He's had many bit parts in Hollywood movies, but often ends up on the cutting room floor due to his porno affiliation.

The Hedgehog desperately wants to break into mainstream acting, but I doubt Ron will ever achieve such legitimate stardom because, as Al Lewis (Grandpa Munster) would say, Ron is a terrible performer, with no stage presence, no material, no timing and no real acting ability. Ouch. Regardless, Ron is a living legend who has reamed thousands of hot chicks, and that's what everyone will remember him for, as well they should. Good night, sweet Hedgehog.
